Events 4 April 2008 KSK at 1Utama By Sharon Saw KSK had its first public booth at the most prestigious mall in Petaling Jaya, 1Utama shopping centre, Ground Floor, Old Wing, today and we'll be there until this Sunday, 6 April. KSK is one of the community services which is supported by 1Utama who gave KSK the table for free - thank you 1Utama! Manned by various members of KSK committee members and volunteers, we sought to raise public awareness of KSK and invite volunteers to join our street program as well as donations to support our work. KSK postcards were offered to passersby and those who stopped were also introduced to the beautiful coffee table book of inspirational quotes by H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, entitled "If not now, when?". 20% of proceeds from sales of the book will be donated to KSK. Though it was a weekday, there was a steady stream of passersby who stopped to watch our video or just to enquire about what we were doing. Malaysians and tourists were generous, happily offering cash donations. It was very touching to see people from all walks of life giving from the heart. Even the security guard shyly came forward and popped something in the donation box. Charity is truly a celebration of human kindness and compassion.
